Genmaicha tea is a green tea infusion popularly consumed in Japan and is now enjoyed in other parts of the world.  Genmaicha was often used for religious fasting, tiding people over until their next meal  for a more gentle "back to food" transition and for the struggling families to help fill them between meals, calling it "poor man's tea."  It is also sometimes referred to as "popcorn tea."

Genmaicha is a green tea mixed with roasted brown rice.  Imagine that aroma! Cereal, nutty, vegetal, and toasted rice.

Drink this Japanese tea to assist when coming out of fast due to its added brown rice providing a gentle fullness.  It's my go-to when I need to avoid snacking!   Lower in caffeine so enjoy all day!
